KUMCHA

is the greatest. Probably the best idea for quite a while. Seemed ridiculous at the beginning and had sexual connotations but it was FUN! Waking up at 7:15 in the holidays wasn't the fun part, but getting on the bus for FREE was fun. I'm asian like that. Then we (Jason, Sandra and I) waddled off to Galaxy World, collected Yeli on the way and felt sad because no shops open at 9.40 in the city. Sandra. *glares*

Then we went up to the (empty) foodcourt, found Martin, Jeffrey and Amy. Enter, 20 minutes down drain as the ladies try to get photos of Martin and Jason, who is now JD. This always happens every outing, I don't know why. Why don't they just surrender to the hordes of women who want a photo with them? Also, when we went up to Galaxy World on the escalator, we saw Ilke (+1) leaving market city. Enter, awkwardness. >_> <_<

Now I forget where we actually went. I /think/ we went to Chinatown, but I'm not entirely sure. I just remember we went into Morning Glory, I got hit in the face by a ball and strawberry, looked at Asian CDs/Dramas and the like. I think most of us bought something from there, I ended up buying two posters. The second one is for Tim. These are pretty much my first posters ever, which I kind of sad. I didn't find any bball posters in the city, not that we looked around a lot. But hey I'm not complaining about the eyecandy. Had lunch at this Korean-Chinese place. Seoul Ria. Food was fairly cheap, but not great. Who cares, I say. It was cheap. Oh yeah. I think we went to Galaxy World before lunch. Like, actually went in because it was open. Played Daytona, as you do, and basketball (arcade style). I ended up hurting my arms T_T Sexy Deal or No Deal is the best. Basically you choose cases based on the hotness of the girl that is holding it. Works most of the time. This is what we won with the tickets. Aren't we cool?! For who don't know, we won the (matching) wrist bands. Now we can't take them off, upon the decree of Yeli.

Karoake itself was pretty damn awesome. It's too hard to describe, because, well, you're pretty much singing. Whilst the venue was crap, as was the "service", it was otherwise pretty damn awesome. Like I said, I said, it's one of those things you have to witness. You have to witness Anthony singing Britney Spears with his shirt down Britney Spear style. But do remember, your throat CANES afterwards. You try to shout/sing and it hurts. Especially if you're trying to sing up high on a song like Gee but you can't so you have to go low and it's weird.

And so, we had to disband. And then for some unknown reason, everybody (save Jeffrey) decided to crash my house. Last time this happened, nothing happened. But when everybody got on the 642 home, I got worried. This was actually happening. Having 7 people crash your house is not good. Especially when you have Martin, who touches EVERYTHING IN YOUR HOUSE and Jolene, who begs to play Cafe World. All. The. Time. I had set up the laptop to webcam whilst we were eating, so we talked to Tim. Twas fun, but that wasn't as eventful as going on chatroulette. Without my permission, Yeli and others went on Chatroulette. After multiple DCs, we got 3 Spanish guys in a row. And they were > 20yo. One of them was 40. You are 40. WHY ARE YOU ON CHATROULETTE?! I figured people didn't want to chat with us because we:
a) Weren't hot
b) Weren't showing cleavage/Had big tits/giving them a little side action. So I decided to fix this with a little cleavage with my elbow. We got one guy to laugh at us.
But then disaster struck. Sandra d/ced to a guy masturbating. Jolene was grief stricken. This is why, boys and girls, you don't go on Chatroulette. Even if you want to meet Merton. We all want to meet Merton.

And you know what is a great game? Sardines is a great game. Ended up playing it at my house. It's the reverse of Murder In the Dark, but not Murder in the Light as Tim thought.

(should have photos up later, when Sandra puts them up)
Second Kumcha, anyone?

Grand Final

So I had my grand final of U17s A yesterday and I am completely buggered. Well, I was and now I know what heat exhaustion feels like. One massive freakin' headache. It was a close game, but we just lost it. 47-45. Man, did not deserve to lose. We were down by 5 at half time, dropped to 10 but clawed that shit back. The other team pulled some "dirty tactics" 'cos they made our big guy change his shorts because they had pockets. Bloody hell, he's been playing in those all season and you get him to take off his shorts 'cos he's killing it out there on the court?! What a load of crap. We already pushed it back to 8:30 from 7:15 'cos one of the dudes on the other team got into a fight a game before and had to attend a tribunal (probably internal).
But still, we should've won that. I got 8 - 10 pts, couple of assists and rebounds and steals here and there. Made a killer whirlwind scoop in the opening minute of the game. That was brilliant. Also speed dribbled the ass off some white guy. That's pretty much the highlights of my game. Defence is never pretty. Got a medal and here it is:(LOL, Camb 3u in background). (Yeah alright, my keyboard is ancient)

Oh man, the entire right side of my body hurts. My right thigh (finally) hurts from yesterday's game, the knee hurts a bit and I got elbowed in the face/nose today. My face has never hurt this much. Oh well. Such is the game. You just have to suck it up.

Short post, I'm totally buggered from training and exams and all that shit. So screwed for English Extension. Oh well. After Tuesday, life will be back to normal.

Yeah, no Hot Chick today. I was thinking about an After School chick or T-ara chick or even Junsu from 2PM cos he's (she's) pretty much a chick, right?

Mathematics Exam

Should be studying for it. But I'm not. Clearly. But I just got home from dinner and I've done all the past papers and so I don't really feel like doing maths. Should study for engineering though. I suck at the chemistry side of that, but it can come later. A lot of things can be done later. Probably the worst mentality in exam week(s) but oh well. Let's all celebrate the death of the English Advanced exam!!!
wooo!!!
*insert celebratory fanfare*(not sure why there are bowling pins but oh well.)
Yeah. The question, in my opinion, was rather stupid:
1) The question was almost identical to the one Srnic gave us as a practice. Instead of struggle and triumph, it was success and failures. Yeah. Don't go off at Srnic and Bowie's (sp) classes. We all deemed it too stupid of a question. Which I still maintain it way.
2) The question asked for a set TEXT. Notice the lack of a plural. But Srnic, in all her brilliance, taught us multiple poems. And also very briefly so we did not have any substantial information. So I did one poem, whilst many others did 2 Eliot poems. Ah crap. I hope they don't take marks off for that. If they do, that's a little harsh. And I finished my essay. That's godly by my standards. (Don't mock me)

So amongst all the hype of Examinations, not a lot has happened. Oh wait. Something did happen. On Monday, I and a bunch of Baulko dudes that didn't have Economics and Biology went to the Castle Hill Library to study. See how I didn't put it in inverted commas? That's because we actually got some work done. Gee, we're good (GEE GEE GEE GEE BABY BABY BABY... argh god dammit). Anyways, Shirley, who came along, decided to borrow a book and I went along because I need to borrow some obscure books for Srnic's Book Reviews, another one of her ingenious ideas. I hope she forgets about it. Anyway, on that trip, I discovered that Shirley is quite technologically challenged. See, at the Castle Hill Library, there's a slot to scan your card and a receipt-printing machine. Shirley, in all her brilliance, tried to put her library card in the receipt machine. Confused and frustrated, she had to be shown by some random lady where to actually put the card. Amused, I laugh at her. But wait, there's more! When she borrowed the book, she ripped the receipt from the machine. But then she realised that she hadn't actually printed the whole receipt and when she realised and pressed the 'exit' button, the rest of the receipt came out.

Funny things happen when you're around stupid people.

That would've been a great human condition essay question.
"The human condition is all about stupid people doing stupid yet funny things."Do what extent do you agree with this statement.

And now, its that time of the post again. Remember, I only do this to liven up my blog. With hot chicks. If you want to make a request, feel free to. Gee, I feel like a radio (GEE GEE GEE.... argh goddammit, not again)I think this is back in the days of Break It, probably the best non-cringe song of theirs.
I actually think Seungyeon looks like a hybrid of Tonia and Steph. MSN me about it, I have proof!
Dietrich wanted me to put on Lindsay Tanner. Go google Tanner, I think Seungyeon's better looking.

WTFBall

This has become the new Baulko sport. Forget about volleyball and soccer. Out with the old, and in with the new, WTFBall is now the latest craze. It's takes on the concept of basketball, but remove all basketball rules and insert the gameplay of gridiron, AFL and both codes of rugby. Heck, a basketball isn't even needed! Rings aren't needed either. Most rules are abolished, like travelling and 3 seconds in the key. Fouls are also ignored. The aim is just to hit something and make a lot of noise. Whilst incredible things have happened, like Nishant's half court short, I must award the Best Move So Far award to Amy Wen. Despite being the only girl on the court, seemed unfazed by centre Joseph Park of the "Curreans". She upfaked him, got the orange furball goin' like a popcorn machine and went right past him for the easy basket. Well done, Amy Wen.
Onto other news, HOLY SHIT! HALF YEARLIES! NOT PREPARED FOR ANYTHING. I suck at the chemistry side of Engineering, my english essays are random pieces of crap and I get stuck in every prac paper of maths. I blame the Economics Half Yearly. We were all so worried about the Economics (like we should be) and I did not study anything other than that. So now, the half yearlies have now replaced Eco as the primary source of stress. Oh dear. Not good.
People are hilarious. And also really disgusting, but that can sometimes be hilarious. Take Kapilan for example. He was in Eco with Shirley and they were discussing something over a maths paper (Paix said we weren't concentrating last eco period so gave us a free study period. I basically had 5 periods of maths in a row). But then suddenly, Kapilan sneezed and all this gunk came out and some of it landed on Shirley's paper. Activate sympathy for Shirley, even though she was rather unfazed by it. Kapilan then said:"How did that even come out?" (To which I promptly said "That's what she said!")
Also, Tim sorta said/thinks that as an Iraqi is from Iraq, and "Irani" is from Iran. Sorry Tim, but just *facepalm*
So basically, people are hilarious.

And now, hot chick of the post. Guess what? She isn't Asian!Damn, she has hot legs. Even the old guy in the suit is checking her out. And she's not exactly young, which is impressive.

Guess What?

It is the 15th. That means I have done my Economics exam (and so have a hundred other people)! Hooray for all of us, we got through the End of the World. I only say it like that because this is our first HSC (half yearly) exam and our only one so far, so we have crammed excessively in the days prior and none of this was probably good for our health. Well, maybe the 'stress' was just me, but yeah, I've come through this all well and good so all I have to worry about now is the Year 11 exams. However, what was excellent was the extended response choices for the exam. 2 CASE STUDY QUESTIONS! HELLS YEAH! CHINAYEAH! Apparently Cigana set the damn thing so good on you Cigana. Other than that, I thought it was alright, the MC was easy and SA was a little annoying but do-able.

And in other news, awkward silences are awkward. (well DUR). But, they become awesome when someone is speaking and then the whole class happened to be quiet at that exact time and that person's voice is the only one in the class. It becomes even MORE awesome when that person is singing or say something embarrassing.
EXHIBIT A:Imagine it. Period 8 (today), maths. Sandra was saying something about mychonny and how chonny says he hates people who have extreme paranoia. And so Shirley, with her big mouth and extreme paranoia of 'creepy-crawlies', proclaims:
"Well mychonny can go suck my..."
And AT THAT TIME, everybody in the room was silent and all they heard was Shirley saying "suck my".
And in MORE important news, the rings were up on the basketball courts at Baulko for the first time since ever. Result: Copious amounts of WTFBall.
WTFBALL: (n.) Basketball, but not really basketball. It's more a fusion of gridiron, rugby (both codes) and AFL. Dribbling the ball is optional. Got my shirt ripped T_T, even though it was just the shirt pocket. More importantly, I TOUCHED THE RIM! FIRST TIME THAT I'VE TOUCHED A RIM! Even though the school rims are lower, hence I could touch the rims, it's close enough, maybe an inch or two off but it will most certainly motivate me to dunk by Graduation.

Also, now that I remember, I was talking to Jolene in Phsyics. Brilliant stuff, this.
Me: "So Jolene, I hear GD's going to jail."Jolene: (defiantly) "GD'S NOT GOING TO JAIL!"Tim: "Yeah, all he did was dry hump a chick."
Me: (surprised) "How do YOU know about this?"
Tim: "How do I NOT know about this?"

And so, here is my Hot Chick of the Post. I promised Yeli that I would put up pictures of what is essentially her best friend, Airi "Airin" Suzuki. Yeah, she's alright, fairly pretty.
Enjoy. And yes I did postone the Guide to High Five post and the Asian "Hotness" post but that'll really only happen if I have nothing better to do.

Placeholder

Because that is exactly what it is. Just a little fill in because I won't be blogging until after the 15th, which is when Doomsday arrives. Synonymous with Economics Exam. But yeah, that's going to be shit. And I only just finished my case study (as of 3 minutes ago. HURRAH!) and I haven't looked through my textbook notes enough. Shit. Gah, cram cram cram. But China's interesting to learn about. Don't attack me guys.

FUN THINGS TO KNOW
  • Mr Maricic likes mocking people.
To Martin who was sniffing a lot: "There are these things called shops and you go inside and you take some cash out and you can buy these littles boxes and inside them are these things called tissues."
Also took down Daniel Goh but I forgot what he said.
  • Mr Maricic is not the most tech-savvy dude but he's funny.
He's trying to alter the keystone of the projector but he can't enter the option to change it.
And so I suggest: "Press ENTER to, well, enter."
    He presses ENTER. Is successful!
He says to me: "You're a smart man Bryan. Well done."
    We facepalm.
  • Luis Scola is a BEAST. Fundamentally sound in his low post game. Turns his defenders inside out like a beef pattie. Youtube him, but ignore the shitty music in the background. Commentary is so much more awesome. Scola and Yao are prolly the most fundamental PF-C combo in the game, despite Yao being injured. He shall return soon. They're ridiculously good.
  • Magic Johnson. Best. Ever. Just watch this video. It's worth you time. Trust me. NBA wouldn't let me embed it.
  • This chick is ridiculously hot. It's like, HOLY SHIT! HER SHORT HAIR IS SO AWESOME! HOLY SHIT! Also, note: None of you can call me fob. I just find she's hot. Ridiculously hot. Finding an SNSD member hot =/= Fob.
  • The maths exam is probably gonna be a bitch, especially the Extension one 'cos it has freakin' 3D Trig and McFadden better not put anything annoying in there. Advanced is being set by Jeyeratnam, so I don't know if it's going to be hard or not. Will it be?
  • Srnic sucks as a teacher. Simple as that.
  • I hate Thursdays.

See you chaps on the 15th!

I have no idea...

This post is long overdue, I'm trying post every 3 or 4 days. If I post this quickly, enough, it'd just fit into the 4 day mark. But I'm struggling to find things to write about. I could talk about the impending doom of the half yearly HSC economics exam but nobody wants to hear that drivel. They hear enough of it already at school. I can't write about basketball because none of you can appreciate it. But luckily, I found something to talk about today. I just watched The Hurt Locker because my dad got it for me. I will not explain his methods. But it is a rather good film. I think it was really deep but I didn't get a lot of it so that took away some of its potential. What I mean is that there's a lot more to it than a couple of IEDs and wire snipping. Actually, I think it'd be great as a related text for the Human Condition so for whoever hasn't got a related text, is desperate for one and actually reads this blog, then you can use The Hurt Locker. It's a win-win. You get to watch a good movie whilst (indirectly) doing your essay. There is actually quite an amount of humour in it as well as shockers. Whilst it's not not for the faint hearted, don't go into the movie expecting an easy ride. There will be explosions that take you by surprise. Especially the last bomb, heck that gave me a jolt.

Oh well, I missed the 4 day mark. Not gonna stop me 'cos I'm halfway through. And how to finish...oh yes. I think Thai and Kalana were asking around at lunch (and by around, I mean just the Stoop) about the school's social environment and our opinions on this. Seeing what they got down, it doesn't put Baulko in a good light. Our grade is quite segregated. Groups are very clearly marked and only a few converse with others of other groups. The grade is very competitive, however, that can be said with the ENTIRE school. But I think we are competitive in petty things, like Peggle. However, with that being said, not everything about our grade society is negative. Those groups are tight and support each other and competition is a good thing ( also economically) because it pushes everything to do that little bit more. But that is just the social environment. The physical environment, ie the school itself, is rather atrocious. School infrastructure is outdated, the bottom oval does not have grass and our drainage system is ineffective. BUT, this does make the school cosy. Think about it. Aside from being easy to navigate (Ruse has the WORST school layout. It's like a sprawled piece of grass with a couple of dots of concrete. And the Bball courts are on the other side of the school. What is up with that?!), going into one of Baulko's classrooms gives you a sense of warmth and acceptance (except for the metalwork rooms. That place is COLD).

Well, this post was rather bad and a failure so I'll just end it with a picture of a hot chick. She's Asian so by hot I mean pretty. I find that Asian chicks aren't hot, exactly. Perhaps I will discuss this later. Or the Guide to High Fiving. Both are good topics.

Linda Chung. HK actress/singer. I ain't a HK TV/film/music industry buff so I don't know a lot about her. And also prolly not the best picture of her but I'm tired and I don't have those fancy Asian forum accounts.

Dedication

That's what it took to withstand a month of nothing but Asian music. I made it through alive and with 90 more songs on my Ipod (100% increase). It really wasn't that easy and no one understood why I was doing this but I did and that's all that matters. I think this all started when my mum called me "racist" because I said Asian music sucks. Hence, I went about changing that, listening to outrageous amounts of Asian artists, Taiwanese, Korean, Japanese. I figured mainland music would not be excellent and I had already listened to HK pop or Cantopop and it's nothing exciting.
Taiwanese music is rather excellent, mostly 'cos Xiao Yu and Khalil Fong's style of music reminded me of Michael Buble.
Japanese music is rather electronic but if you're into that kind of thing, then go for it.
Korean music is like a lucky dip. You can pick up piss annoying songs like Ring Ding Dong, addictive/annoying songs like Gee and Oh!, cringe songs like Honey, good rap songs like Because of You/TTL/TTL2 or whatever and decent songs like Break It (Y).

So now, at the end of February, I've whittled down the "Crappy Asian Music" to "Crappy Korean Boybands and Possibly Some Mainland/HK artists". After listening to people like SHINee who, I swear, only have a fanbase because their songs are catchy, I assumed the others weren't much better. Funny, though, because Taeyang is not catchy crap.

Year 11 kicks ass. Senior School is easily better than Junior School. Pfft, geography/history, who needs that crap. However, the trade-offs are the workload that grows exponentially (damn you Simmo) and half yearly exams in the first term. Doesn't quite make sense, but you gotta deal with it. I need to a take a picture of the exam timetable. Keep on forgetting when my exams are. Spare a thought for the people doing Accelerated Economics. HSC Half Yearly on the 15th. Ack! ><

Anyways, its 12am and I won't be able to get to sleep for a while and I have to wake early tomorrow/today which sorta sucks but whatever. It's what you get for doing Eco/eating Sara Lee pound cake. WHICH IS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!! Love it.

I thought I might, you know, dedicate this post to Erin. Seems odd, but there is reasonable logic behind it. It's about Asians, which is her sorta thing, even though I'm bagging out SHINee. But she is going through a rough patch, and so Erin, if you read this, this one's for you. (Dear god I sound like some sort of tribute artist). But yeah, I haven't exactly been a great person to her and she's having freakin' surgery and is probably gonna be out for a while so I thought this was the least I could do, aside from giving "comforting words".

If anybody calls me up about this emotional crap I'm going to smack you.
